Chladni Bookends Workshop
Cymatics is the science of studying waves created by sound. When materials are moved at different frequencies, they resonate and create fascinating patterns. In this workshop we will experiment by resonating different metal plates and observe how the patterns change. We will capture the moment when the pattern happens by casting on top of it with Jesmonite, “freezing” it into position. You will make bookends made from Jesmonite with beautiful chladni patterns engrained on their surfaces.
